Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 22, 2026

1. Introduction

Clawly ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our AI assistant service on Telegram, Slack, Discord, or our website at getclawly.com. By using Clawly, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Account and identity: email, name (if provided), and identifiers from the platforms you connect (e.g., Slack workspace ID, Telegram or Discord user ID).
  • Usage data: messages you send to the assistant, usage counts, and feature usage to operate and improve the Service.
  • Payment data: billing information is processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we may receive and store limited billing metadata (e.g., subscription status, last payment date). We never store your full credit card number.
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, browser type, and log data when you use our website or APIs.
  • Cookies and advertising data: we use cookies to support essential site functionality, analytics, and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. When you arrive from an ad, we may store an identifier so we can attribute your signup to that campaign. See Section 8 for more details on how we use cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process payments and prevent fraud; send you service-related communications; respond to support requests; analyze usage and trends; measure advertising effectiveness; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share data with trusted third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, AI processing, analytics, advertising measurement, and payment processing — each subject to confidentiality and data protection commitments.

4. AI and Message Content

Your messages to the Clawly assistant are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate responses. We may retain message content and related data as needed to operate the Service, debug issues, and improve quality. Anthropic may process your messages according to their own privacy policy. Please do not send highly sensitive personal data (e.g., passwords, health records) through the assistant.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specific retention periods:

  • Account data: retained for the duration of your account plus 30 days after deletion
  • Message history: retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion
  • Cookies: varies by type — essential cookies expire after your session or shortly after use; analytics and advertising cookies expire within 30 days
  • Server logs: 90 days

We may retain certain data for longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., dispute resolution, fraud prevention, financial records).

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update account details in your dashboard or contact us at privacy@getclawly.com to exercise these rights. We will respond within 30 days.

European Economic Area & UK: If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights under the GDPR including the right to access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California residents (CCPA): If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, email privacy@getclawly.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

8. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Essential cookies are required for the site to function — things like keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences during signup. These cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve the experience. These are only set if you accept cookies.

Advertising cookies allow us to measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns (for example, whether a signup came from a Google ad). These are only set if you accept cookies.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 13 (or higher age where required by law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. We take steps to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) where required by law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated by email or through the Service before they take effect.
